Spike the French Bulldog
From Owner to Owner

Meet Spike

I'm Spike's dad. He's a dark brindle French Bulldog, 7.5 years old, living with me in the Dominican Republic. We've been through gastritis, bladder issues, seasonal allergies, and the daily challenge of keeping a brachycephalic dog healthy in tropical heat.

This guide is what I wish I had on day one. No sponsors. No corporate agenda. Just what I've learned the hard way — confirmed by veterinary science where possible.

This is not veterinary advice. Always consult your vet for your Frenchie's specific needs. But this guide will help you ask better questions and catch problems earlier.

Heat Safety Alert

French Bulldogs are extremely vulnerable to heat stroke. Danger starts at 77°F (25°C) — lower in humid climates. Learn the warning signs and emergency protocol.
